ONLINE DEGREE

Posted by admin

A newspaper article caught my eye today about 45-year old Dawn Stewart, who utilized the flexibility of online classes to complete her college degree after sustaining injuries in an automobile accident. She is a remarkably determined woman who endured a number of physical hardships, yet graduated from Butler Community College in Pennsylvania at the top of her class last week, according to the Leader Times.

She married after high school, had a baby, and was working full-time when she realized that she wanted to further her education. After encouragement from her husband and her employer, she enrolled at the local junior college and was on the way to fulfilling her dream of earning a college degree. During recuperation from the accident, she admired the work of the physical therapists and decided to become a physical therapy assistant. She now has the academic credentials to work in her chosen career.

Sometimes, it takes a little nudging; but taking the first step is crucial to realizing any dream. Most of us face stumbling blocks; but with technological innovations, like online degree programs, the impossible is now possible.

Dawn Stewart has a college degree; now it is your turn.
